Discover Century Pro Ti-F – The world’s first low deflection titanium cuesport ferrule

Sporting standards are continually improving as advances in training, technique and application are developed and introduced. However, unless the equipment used keeps pace with these changes, progress becomes impaired or even stops. Snooker is no exception. Brass has been the material of choice for snooker cue ferrules for over a century, yet it is far from ideal. Due to the relative softness of brass, every retip reduces the diameter of the ferrule and compromises its shape. Even a light polish at the end of the job will remove material. This inevitably changes the way the cue feels and plays, making consistency impossible to achieve. Imagine a ferrule where this cannot happen. A ferrule that retains its structural integrity for life no matter how many times you retip. That ferrule is the Century Pro Ti-F.

Recently got Craig Fitzpatrick at Greenbaize to install one of the new century pro titanium ferrules, all I can say is they are amazing, after first couple days adjustment you find that you just aim always for the pot, there is no deflection with side, aim at the pot put as much side on as you want and the white just goes where you aim. Another reason to switch to these is having done a few tips on my own and other players that there is no wear and tear on the ferrule, the blade doesn’t take small slivers off when cleaning the surface ready for the new tip and if you do happen to touch the ferrule with any fine Emery paper it doesn’t take anything off so the diameter of your ferrule at the Surface is not going to wear down the way it does with brass causing you to eventually need a new ferrule. Would highly recommend these to any player or any level. Fraser Patrick – Pro

It has taken me over a year to upgrade my cue from a brass ferrule to a custom made Century Pro Ti/F Low Deflection Titanium ferrule. The effect is immediate. I was blown away with how well it hits the ball and minimises deflection. Well done to Century Pro. John Higgins – Pro

Both me and Ronnie won this year’s World Championships in Sheffield using new CC chalk, Ronnie the main event and me the seniors. It’s the best chalk we have both used for many years. Super grip and feel. I have also upgraded my cue to CC’s low deflection Ti/f titanium ferrule. And I must say what an improvement to my cue. It plays better, feels better and the reduction in deflection struck me. Well done to CC brand. 5 Stars from me. Jimmy White – Pro

I CAN SPEAK IN VOLUME ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF UPGRADING TO A CENTURY PRO TI/F TITANIUM FERRULE BUT IT IS TOO LONG TO LIST. I JUST WANT TO SAY WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT IT HAS MADE. ANY PROFESSIONAL OR AMATEUR PLAYER I WOULD ADVISE TO UPGRADE IMMEDIATELY AND SEE HOW YOUR GAME CAN IMPROVE. Gary Wilson – Pro

I HAVE BEEN USING A CUSTOM G5 CC CUE TIP FOR A WHILE NOW AND I HAVE TO SAY IT IS THE BEST TIP I HAVE EVER USED. SUPER HARD BUT WITH FEEL AND BRILLIANT PLAYABILITY. XIAO GUODONG – CHINESE PRO

Titanium Ferrule by Century Tips
I was asked to test these ferrules by Stu Green, Greenbaize.
I put it on a cue I made which did not throw with side to see if it changed the way the cue played. The reason for this is usually when you put a thick walled ferrule on it will make the cue throw unless it is fibre or horn the Titanium ferrule did not change the cue at all, which is great. The main reason I was testing it is that Stu mentioned that he was finding that if a cue was throwing with a normal ferrule when this was replaced with a Titanium ferrule the throw was greatly reduced. So, I also tested the ferrule on another cue which threw by over a ball when you put side on testing up the spots from brown to black. The Titanium ferrule reduced the throw by more than half which I was really impressed with. There are other Titanium ferrules but I haven’t tested them so cannot comment on them but I would highly recommend this one which is available through Greenbaize.

Andy Hunter – 5 Stars

If there is one upgrade I would advise players to do at all levels of the game, is upgrade your ferrule to the new CC Ti/F low deflection titanium ferrule. There are no negatives too upgrading. Best move I have made and lifted my confidence and game. Again a brilliant product from CC brand. Jimmy White

Having always played with a small tip at around 8.75mm if not smaller to reduce deflection, I tried a cue with a 9.25mm with a Titanium ferrule. I actually can’t believe that the cue has literally zero throw. I actually didn’t think this was possible!! It makes your tip feel harder, I guess because the metal is harder. Also the fact that the ferrule is so durable is brilliant along with the bonus that they look cool on, shiney and clean is a little bonus. Definitely something that would help a player starting out for sure. Brilliant product by Century. Well done guys.

This new Titanium Ferrule is something different!! Great new device for all the snooker players! I don’t played for 38 days, and first frame with this Ferrule I’ve made 119! Great spin on the ball! Really recommend it to everyone who is playing snooker
